Abstract

When we address present problems, we always study the repercussionsthis will have in the future. Today's actions impact tomorrow. Sincethe dawn of time, humanity has felt a need to know the future, buthas not always had the means to do this. The technology available tous has changed over time. And over recent decades the pace of changehas been dizzying. Although the problem of glimpsing the future existsin all areas, we must be particularly careful in areas with major socialrepercussions.In this article, we discuss the application of new technology to improvingclassic forecasting techniques, using the opinions of a group of expertsto predict future scenarios.The Higher School of National Defense Studies is assessing the methodand tools used using real case studies.
