Abstract

The international financial crisis has conditioned the amount of publicbudget assigned to national defence in the world's principal economicand military powers and this tendency may have a serious impact onthe design of defence policies in the medium term. This article analysesin detail the evolution of defence expenditures in our geopoliticalenvironment.
